How accurate is the Garmin?
We have extensively tested the Garmin R10 Approach and we were very surprised with the results (given the price point). We hit over 100 shots comparing the Garmin unit with other well known popular simulator brands and the Garmin was extremely accurate. We recommend updating the firmware to the latest version when you buy your simulator as Garmin are continually making improvements to their algorithm. Below are the error rates the manufacturer stands by, and based on our testing we are not disputing this.
CLUB HEAD: +/- 3 mph

When Garmin announced that they were bringing out the Approach R10 Golf Simulator there was a lot of excitement in the industry. The Garmin Approach R10 is the first golf simulator to provide both ball and club data in a radar unit that is a cheap enough for home golf simulator use. At 24/7 Golf, we have fully tested the Garmin Approach R10 and we are very excited at the results. Another major selling point is the software will integrate with your smart phone to provide golf swing recording with data overlaid.
